Micromax always eyes on its competitors and now considering the budget wonder ‘Moto E’, the company launched Unite 2 withAndroid 4.4 KitKat Operating system priced similarly at Rs 6,999. This is first device from Micromax, running Android 4.4 KiKat OS and will be available across all retail outlets from today. The latest and unique feature of the device is that it supports 21 regional languages namely English, Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Gujarati, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Odia, Marathi, Bengali, Assamese, Nepali, KonKani, Bodo, Dogri, Kashmiri, Maithili, Manipuri, Sanskrit and Sindhi.
Miramax is known for producing high configured phones in low prices and now again proved through Unite 2. Micromax Unite 2 comes with 4.7 inch IPS display with 480×800 pixels resolution. The device is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core processor along with 1 GB of RAM. We have no detail about its chipset. The company has given 5 Megapixel primary camera with flash and 2 MP secondary camera. The camera is less with some new features such as beauty mode, live photo mode and panorama.

Micromax has produced this handset in 4 vivid colors- white, grey, red and green. It comes with some attractive pre-loaded apps like Mad, Get it, Kingsoft Office, Opere Mini, Hike, M!Games, M!live and more.
For initial storage, the company has given 4 GB onboard storage, which can be expanded up to 32 GB through a micro SD card. The device is equipped with all connectivity options including GPS, Bluetooth v4.0 and Wi-Fi. Micromax unite 2 is powered by 2000 mAh battery. It runs on latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS, and according to the company it can be upgraded easily via FOTA.
With this handset, Micromax is focusing on recently launched Moto E, which is available on Flipkart at Rs. 6,999 only. Moto E comes with 4.3 inch touch screen display with 960×540 pixels resolution whereas Micromax Unite 2 comes with 4.7 inch display, which is little larger than its opponent. Moto E is powered by 1.2 GHz Snapdragon Dual core processor while Unite 2 is packed with Quad core processor. Both the Smartphones comes with 1 GB RAM, 5 MP camera and 4 GB internal memory. Micormax Unite 2 has front facing camera, while Moto E lacks a secondary camera. If we compare both handsets, we get Unite 2 superior and powerful than Moto E, but apart from all this Moto E is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 along with ‘water-nano coating’ which is missing in Unite 2.
Shubhodip Pal, CMO, Micromax commented that support for local languages will be very useful for the people who does not use English as their primary language and it will be evolution in the technology.
