The Korean firm’s recent flagship Galaxy S5 release has caught attention from all around the web and has become a tremendous hit in the market too. From the rumor mill, we have shed few rumors about its future brother i.e. Samsung Galaxy S6 which is on the hot topics of tech sites nowadays. We haven’t seen anything official related to this speculated smartphone but still we are comparing it with its predecessor S5. Lets start the comparison with the main thing of smartphones i.e. Display.

Processor:

SGS5 has two variants both of one has a four cores Krait 400 processor clocked at 2.5 GHz on Snapdragon 400 chipset. While the other variant has 8-core’s Exynos 5 chipset out of which 4-cores are of Cortex A15 and other 4-cores are of Cortex A7 clocked at 1.9 GHz and 1.3 GHz respectively. The variant with only quad-core unit has Adreno 330 GPU whereas the Octa-core unit has Mali T628 MP6 GPU.

On the contrary, Samsung Galaxy S6 has been rumored to arrive in two variants same as its predecessor. One with a Quad-core processor and other one with a 12-cores processor (3 quad-core units)

Display:

S5 came with 5.1″ Super AMOLED screen having a display resolution of 1080 x 1920 while Galaxy S6 is speculated to come with 0.2″ more than its predecessor i.e. 5.3″ Super AMOLED Plus display which is prompted to have 2K resolution.

Operating System:

The fifth gen S5 had Android KitKat v4.4.2 which is expected to be updated to Android 4.4.4 soon while SGS6’s speculations says it will have Android 4.5 or 5.0 which is rumored to be named Milkshake or Key Lime Pie correspondingly.

RAM:

We have seen 2 GB of RAM on Galaxy S5’s motherboard while rumors reveal it future elder brother will have twice the RAM of the latter for more smooth multitasking and fast working. It will be very fast processing when 4 GB of RAM will be in works for the smartphone.

Memory:

The Korean manufacturer launched two S5 basic devices having 16 GB and 32 GB of inbuilt storage which has the capacity to be expanded upto 128 GB. On other hand, Galaxy S6 will also support 128 GB expandability but will have a 32 GB variant and another 64 GB variant.

S5 has 16 megapixels main camera and 2 megapixels secondary camera which is the only latest in trend for most of the Samsung flagships, but its future brother is expected to arrive with a 20 megapixels camera on the back side while a 5 megapixels unit is expected on the front side. Moreover, rumors say the back camera will support images of upto 2K resolution which should be taken as a pinch of salt only.

Battery:

We have seen a 2800mAh Li-ion battery in Galaxy S5 which delivers talktime up to 21 hours while S6 is expected to land with 3300-3500mAh battery, which will provide upto 30 hours of talktime. There is no news regarding it will have a non-removable battery or not but we can expect a removable one as Samsung has always given in its devices.

Connectivity:

Both the flagships feature 2G, 3G and 4G LTE network support while earlier Galaxy S6 was rumored to feature 5G connectivity but a recent report says it’s not possible to launch 5G network till 2020-2030 worldwide.
