The phone measures just 5.9mm around the waist, and weighs around 150 grams. The Galaxy A9 is also expected to boast a metallic design like its predecessor. There’s no word on its exact dimensions at the moment, but you can expect a slim and lightweight design.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 competes against the Galaxy Note series with a 5.7-inch full HD Super AMOLED display bearing a pixel density of 386ppi. The Galaxy A9 is backed by a more powerful and next-gen Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 CPU, which has four cores running at 1.8GHz and four clusters clocked at 1.4GHz. The device offers a meaty 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. Overall, performance-wise, the Galaxy A9 is more powerful than the Galaxy A8.

When it comes to the camera specs, the Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A9 offer similar specifications. They are equipped with 16-megapixel primary cameras with autofocus, LED flash, HDR, Touch to Focus, full HD video recording, and more. For selfies, they offer 5-megapixel front-facing snappers.
